Affordable Housing: Sustainable Solutions
In collaboration with Studio T Square Architecture, our affordable housing project at 811 San Pablo in Pinole features a four-story, 30,700-square-foot wood-framed building. Prioritizing safety and efficiency, we’re implementing Type VA construction with fire sprinklers and plywood wood shear walls, alongside requiring a minimum of 30% Supplementary Cementing Materials (SCM) for all site and structural concrete leading to significant reductions in embodied carbon emissions. Sustainability is key, with plans for sunshades and solar panels. Providing 33 units for low-income households, including one and two-bedroom units, the development offers amenities like a lobby, community room, and exterior bike storage. Managed by Satellite Affordable Housing Associates, our project reinforces our commitment to affordable, environmentally conscious housing solutions.
